He is also a veteran Amateur Radio Operator (HAM), reflecting his enduring interest in technology, communication, and continuous learning, and a Distinguished Toastmaster, demonstrating his commitment to leadership, effective communication, and the art of articulating ideas with clarity and purpose. His work is focused on strengthening the ecosystem for Independent Directors, developing credible and board-ready professionals, and advancing institutional standards for board governance in India.

Dr. Joseph Cherukara has 45 years of industrial experience as an Entrepreneur, Researcher, Academician, Management Faculty, Management consultant, Lead auditor for Quality Management System, Educational Organisation Management System, Environment Management System. Green Auditor, and ZED Assessor. He has 34 years of boardroom experience as a Promoter Director as well as a Promoter MD of various companies. He is an Author of several research papers with 100+ citations, achieving h-index:4 and i10-index:2. He is an Advisor for SME IPO, Marketing Management, and Management Systems, amongst others.

Mr. Sanjay Sharma is a certified IICA Independent director and an accomplished professional with over 30 years of diverse experience across Aviation, Energy, Infrastructure, and Waste Management sectors. He brings in strong expertise in corporate governance, risk management, strategy, ESG, and regulatory compliance. And has extensive experience in business advisory, negotiations, organizational development, policy framework implementation, litigation strategy, labour & employment law, arbitration, mergers & acquisitions.

Dr. S. B. Seshadri serves as President (Operations) at DYLOG Supplies Pvt Ltd, looking after the Training Division on Drones, ITES, IOT, cybersecurity, and training collaborations with universities across India. He is a dedicated academician and industry expert with 29 years of diverse experience. He is a certified IICA Independent Director, with a Ph.D. in Management (Rural Entrepreneurship) and an LL.M. in International Business and Finance Law. He is working to bring qualitative change management to a few organizations, associating with them on various projects to develop rural entrepreneurship. He is passionate about bridging the gap between industry practice and academic theory across Corporate Governance, HR, Management, IT, and Legal.

With over a decade of cross-functional experience, he brings a “young mind” perspective to traditional business challenges. Mr. Mathew Abraham is an IICA-certified Independent Director and a forward-looking technology strategist with 28+ years of global leadership across the US, Asia, and Europe. As Vice President & Head of India Operations at Terawe Technologies, he drives digital transformation and innovation across AI, cloud, and emerging technologies. An MBA from Duke University, he brings strong expertise in governance, risk, and compliance. Mathew combines strategic foresight with execution excellence to help boards navigate disruption and create sustainable value. As Co-founder of the Society of Independent Directors, he is committed to reimagining board effectiveness and elevating governance standards in India.

Mr. Narasimha Rao Chundu is a seasoned senior executive with 20+ years of experience in sales, marketing, and operations across retail and financial services. He has a strong track record of driving growth, leading high-performing teams, and scaling branch networks. He held leadership roles at ICICI Web Trade, Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance, Anand Rathi, ITI Investor Services, Motilal Oswal, BN Rathi Securities, and Aditya Birla Money. He holds an MBA in Marketing, has completed senior leadership programs from IIM Visakhapatnam and IIM Ahmedabad, and is a certified IICA Independent Director and NISM-certified professional.

Adv. Narasimhan Damodaran (DN) is a Chennai-based logistics veteran with over 38 years of experience across global and Indian organisations, including Kuehne + Nagel and DHL. He most recently served as General Manager Project Logistics and National Project Logistics Customer Excellence Manager for PAN India. His expertise spans air, sea, contract logistics, warehousing, heavy lift, RO-RO, customs clearance, trade compliance, and regulatory affairs. He is a FIATA-certified freight forwarder, licensed customs broker, ISO internal auditor, LL.B lawyer, IICA/MCA-registered independent director, and holds a master’s in foreign trade with a commerce degree.
SID acts as a facilitation and ecosystem-building institution.
Final selection, appointment, and decision-making authority remain solely with the respective companies and their boards.
