He currently serves as an Independent Consultant and has previously held senior leadership positions including Board Secretary & Head of Internal Audit at Salalah Port Services (SAOG), Oman, an A.P. Moller-Maersk associate, and Additional Vice President – Finance & Accounts at Reliance Infocom, New Delhi. A Fellow Chartered Accountant (ICAI, India), Associate Chartered Accountant (ICAEW, UK), and IICA-certified Independent Director, he brings deep expertise in audit leadership, risk-based program design, financial governance, internal controls, compliance, and board advisory. His career spans diverse sectors including ports, telecommunications, automotive, manufacturing, and financial services, providing him with broad commercial and operational insight. As Chairman of the Finance, Audit & Compliance Committee of the Society of Independent Directors (SID), he contributes to strengthening financial sustainability, transparency, accountability, and ethical governance while supporting SID’s mission of promoting board excellence and effective independent directorship in India.

C. Girish Kumar is a seasoned business leader with over 35 years of leadership experience in the manufacturing sector, spanning leading Indian and multinational organizations. An Associate Cost and Management Accountant (ACMA), Executive MBA from The Open University Business School, UK, and IICA-certified Independent Director, he brings a distinctive combination of financial discipline, strategic thinking, operational leadership, and enterprise-wide business perspective. In his last corporate assignment, Girish served as India Head of Molex India, part of Koch Industries, a Fortune 500 global enterprise. He led the strategic transformation and expansion of the India business, scaling annual revenues from approximately USD 50 million to USD 150 million over five years through manufacturing expansion, operational excellence, organizational capability building, and disciplined execution. His career encompasses leadership across finance, operations, business strategy, enterprise risk management, compliance, corporate governance, and organizational transformation. He has worked extensively with global leadership teams and led complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives. Girish also served on the boards of five Koch Group private limited companies in India, contributing to strategy, financial oversight, governance, risk management, compliance, and business performance. As a member of the Finance, Audit & Compliance Committee of the Society of Independent Directors, he contributes his expertise to advancing financial integrity, effective governance, risk oversight, and board effectiveness.
